The Flaming Lips YES! ‘The Terror’ Tee

This design was based on the FLIPS motifs; Rainbows, lasers, skulls, fetuses, mirrorball’s, flying eyes, UFO’s, giant hands, peace signs, glitter nails… and Wayne Coyne’s drawings of fertile women. It is a visual homage to British psychedelic art, namely Alan Aldridge and Terry Gilliam of Flying Circus fame. All the type was hand rendered including the umbilical cord terror text.

Steve Mason (Ex Beta Band, King Biscuit Time, Black Affair and now Steve Mason the artist) has just released the amazing ‘Monkey Minds in the Devils Time’.

Later in the year GrowABrain will be providing some visuals/projections for the bigger shows in late summer.

I proposed this Tee design which depicts Steve as a Film Noir Shadow Boxer, its how I’ve always seen him.

The Oars are running a Music Night in Dalston, last Tuesday of Every month at The Alibi on Kingsland Highstreet and now every Saturday of the month at Howl at the Moon pub on Hoxton Street.

The Poster is inspired by John Lennons ‘Mind Games’.

John and Yoko just stepped out of my eye on the way to their allotment to plant more seeds, they want you to MAKE LOVE. LOVE IS THE ANSWER.

All the bands at BASEMENT TAPES are asked to play a Dylan or Band cover.
